This is the fourth of my Summer Rubber Duckie Paintings I made for the summer season. I wanted to give these paintings a tropical theme, from the bright colors to the surrounding fruit such as the watermelon featured in this painting. I used the same watercolor pencils from my first two Rubber Duckie Paintings to make this rubber duckie colorful and I wanted to try using a different brand of watercolor paints to paint the background. This tropical summer themed Rubber Duckie Painting series would not be complete without a painting of a rubber duckie surrounded by slices of watermelon, which is a pretty popular fruit to serve and eat in at least many of the summer events and gatherings I have been to. This painting could also work for a fun holiday called National Watermelon Day, even though I made this painting almost two months before the actual holiday.
My fourth Summer Rubber Duckie painting is also available at my RedBubble shop on t-shirts, pet products, stickers, blankets, tote bags, etc: www.redbubble.com/people/caseymakesart/shop.
