One Valentine's Day season, I wanted to do my take on the holiday's famous candy hearts by writing fun, kind and/or motivational messages, such as "Dream Big" since it is one of my favorite words of encouragement, as I draw/sculpt the hearts in each pastel like colors. I originally thought of an idea to first make polymer clay candy heart earrings with these messages I selected for each color, but my mom suggested I should make candy heart fingerprint art magnets like the one heart magnets I made for her over a couple of years ago as well. So, I thought I would make the Candy Heart Magnets first since I figured they would not take as much time and labor to make as the Candy Heart Earrings. I have always enjoyed reading and/or eating candy hearts on Valentine's Day enough to inspire me to draw candy hearts with chalk all over the backyard patio of my childhood home one time as a kid and go with the ideas to make these Candy Heart Magnets and future Polymer Clay Candy Heart Earrings as a grown visual artist and art entrepreneur.
