Since I enjoy listening to a variety of musical instruments, I wanted to do a music themed series of Rubber Duckie Paintings where each painting features a rubber duckie listening to each instrument that surrounds them, starting with the common woodwind instruments you would typically find in an orchestra pretty much because I figured that I had to draw my favorite instrument, the clarinet 1st. I have featured the clarinet in many of my previous works of art, including some you might find on my website and/or my social media pages, and drew the surrounding clarinets in this Rubber Duckie Painting by using only crayons. Even though it was a challenge to draw the woodwind instruments and their details with crayon, especially if some of my crayons were not always sharp, the clarinets were the easiest for me to draw because of my Clarinet Choir Chair I painted for the 2023 Painted Chairs Online Auction and I definitely gained some skills from this technique. As for painting, I selected red for the background and gold for this featured rubber duckie because I felt inspired by the Clarinet Choir Chair to use this color scheme which happens to be my favorite.
