I thought I would make some Angel's Trumpet Flower/Brugmansia Earrings in various colors the real flowers have out there (like the yellow orange ones for this pair, which is spotted because I had to do some acrylic paint touch-ups to the earrings like I did with some of my Pastel Froggy Earrings). I saw a bunch of peachy orange Angel's Trumpet flowers one time when I visited the San Diego Botanic Garden during a field trip for one of the photography courses I took back in college. Those flowers were so neat and fascinating, they had me imagine a brass band performing and inspired me to make little colorful trumpet flower earrings almost a decade later. I originally planned to make 6 pairs, but I decided to add 1 more pair to this mix after receiving a commission to make custom polymer clay earrings. I also 1st thought about including some details on these Angel's Trumpet Flower earrings, but after I began sculpting the trumpet flowers and did some experimenting, I figured the earrings would look fine as just the flowers. I then selected various jewelry piece colors that I thought would go best with each pair, mainly some type of gold colors, like antique gold jewelry pieces I chose for the yellow orange Angel's Trumpet Flowers, to go with the typical golden brass colors of a trumpet.
