One Winter Solstice, I wanted to post a photo from one of my flights to Las Vegas where this one jumps to my 5th solo flight back home when I got such lovely views of Big Bear Lake (along with the surrounding snowy mountains) from the plane. Ever since I thought I 1st saw Big Bear Lake from my 3rd solo flight back from Vegas during the summer of last year, but could not capture the views because of glaring reflections in the window and the lake was probably Lake Arrowhead, I have been wanting to get good airplane window view photos of Big Bear. Going back to this 5th solo flight back home (which happened to be another magic hour flight), the moment I heard from the passengers sitting next to me that we were flying by Big Bear, I jumped on the opportunity to get plenty of those airplane window view photos with the surrounding snow and I find this one to be my favorite so far. I wanted to enhance the colors of the sky, along with the texture of the snowy mountains, to make this majestic landscape setting feel like a magical winter wonderland, especially since the strip of light of a possible ski resort near the lake do remind me of Christmas and the lovely holiday season.
