I got another new holiday and music themed art project that I wanted to get done for the holiday season, but did not get to finish until afterwards and at least before one of my trips to Las Vegas. I have been itching to draw musicians playing brass instruments, especially after listening to many brass versions of holiday/Christmas songs one holiday season, and I thought I would create 2 decoupage drawings of horn players, including this one with the horn player facing left, with the simple designed horns (like my Horn Magnets and the horns I remember seeing on a wrapped up gift one time when I was a kid) and red and green tissue paper (I am willing to take on the challenge of drawing a regular designed horn/French Horn (which is typically seen in an orchestra) someday). I had the idea to draw these musicians playing the "Horn of Love", where the center of the bows are designed to be heart-shaped, to represent Christmas's spirit of love I value so much for quite a long time. I actually started drawing the musicians on black cardstock paper not too long after I sketched the idea. It was not until after my holiday get-together with my very close friends near Christmas Eve about 2 years later that I started applying tissue paper and I got to repurpose some of the tissue paper my friends gave me after we opened up our gifts. Each horn player decoupage was tricky to get the tissue paper on, pretty much taking as much time as my Rainbow Lion drawing, but this project overall was definitely not as labor intensive as my Flute Choir Ornament Doll project.
