Pretty much ever since I 1st heard of Arizona Day when I was visiting my close friend in Yuma on that actual day one year, I have been wanting to create a Geometric Animal drawing of Arizona's state animal, the ringtail, to celebrate the holiday like how I drew the Geometric Desert Bighorn Sheep to celebrate Nevada Day. I wanted to draw the ringtail in a more vertical position looking like they are climbing on something (and ended up going with a diagonal climbing pose) to fit them and their long, striped tail into this drawing without having to make them look so small (I do not think I have ever seen a real live ringtail before, but I have seen images of them on souvenirs in at least one of the gift shops I went to during my trip to Yuma). I then gave the background geometric shapes and digital border frame a color scheme inspired by the colors of Arizona's state flag, along with the red rocks in Sedona I have heard about (since I have never been to Sedona before, but I would like to go there to visit someday) and the ones at the Grand Canyon, to really celebrate Arizona and what feels like many of its places I have been to where plenty of fond memories were made.
