Since I enjoyed creating my Desert Adventure Rubber Duckie paintings that feature desert wildflowers earlier this year, I wanted to draw more specific flowers for this next batch. This time, I drew all 6 New England state flowers, including white pinecones and tassels for Maine (I looked up all of the state flowers for all 6 New England states and yes, the white pinecone and tassel is Maine's state flower), making this Rubber Duckie Painting batch feel like a New England adventure (even though it still has been a long time since I traveled to the New England region and I have only been to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and possibly Maine as far as I can remember). I also wanted to bring back the fall sweaters for these rubber duckies and paint them in fall colors. For a long time, I have been wanting to fly back to the New England region in the fall and see the bright and colorful foliage that it is said to offer (many of my trips there were during the summer and one trip I had around Thanksgiving during my 1st grade year already felt like winter with at least some family photos that my family took during that trip showing snow on the ground outside my close cousins' old house). As for the background, I selected a forest green color for this painting out of inspiration from hearing about Maine's pine trees and landscapes .
