Since I enjoyed creating my Desert Adventure Rubber Duckie paintings that feature desert wildflowers earlier this year, I wanted to draw more specific flowers for this next batch. This time, I drew all 6 New England state flowers, including red clovers for Vermont, making this Rubber Duckie Painting batch feel like a New England adventure (even though it still has been a long time since I traveled to the New England region and I have only been to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and possibly Maine as far as I can remember). I also wanted to bring back the fall sweaters for these rubber duckies and paint them in fall colors. For a long time, I have been wanting to fly back to the New England region in the fall and see the bright and colorful foliage that it is said to offer (many of my trips there were during the summer and one trip I had around Thanksgiving during my 1st grade year already felt like winter with at least some family photos that my family took during that trip showing snow on the ground outside my close cousins' old house). As for the background, I selected a pretty deep red color for this painting (along with a bright red-orange color for the rubber duckie) out of inspiration from hearing about Vermont's fall foliage and maple leaves .
